My name is Jimvirle E. Calago founder of JiNexus Framework.
I live in Cebu, Philippines, and I am a programmer since 2012.
Senior Full Stack Developer / DevOps (Development and Operations) with a focus on PHP web applications and cloud-based Ubuntu servers.
I've worked across a wide range of projects building large, custom API and MVC web applications in PHP — using frameworks like Symfony, Laravel, Laminas, Mezzio, CodeIgniter, Phalcon, and the JiNexus Framework, along with Doctrine ORM and WordPress. My core focus is back-end development in PHP and MySQL, complemented by front-end work in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript. More recently, I've expanded into modern front-end tooling with Nuxt (Vue.js) and Tailwind CSS. I've been integrating AI-assisted development into my workflow — using tools like OpenCode and Claude Code across different models to speed up prototyping, debugging, and code review. I also enjoy stepping outside my usual stack to experiment with other technologies, including Go, Ruby, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and Godot Engine.
I am one of the thousands of programmers who support and love open-source software, and I contribute to it whenever I can, providing new features, bug fixes, or even improving documentation. Right now, I want to try something new, something that piques my interest, something worthwhile to do, and I have decided to create my own modular, lightweight, and easy-to-use PHP MVC framework. Throughout this process, I will do my best to improve my knowledge of programming, maintain best practices, and apply the right design patterns to my open-source project. But amidst all that, I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed making it.
This project is open to all contributors who love open source projects and want to contribute to it. It will be a great privilege to work with various intelligent people across the globe.
